So how does it work? Levulan Kerastick Topical Solution is applied to the acne skin on scalp face and neck and Keratosis lesions. The solution is then absorbed deep within the acne follicles and Actinic Keratosis cells where it is converted to a chemical that makes the cells extremely sensitive to light. When the acne skin and Actinic Keratosis cells are exposed to the BLU-U Blue Light Illuminator, a reaction occurs which destroys the acne causing bacteria and AK cells.
